Home town favourites. Growing up in Toronto, they were the team to root for. It was hard not to get swept up in the moment with back to back World Series championships in '92 and '93. The newness and awe-inspiring nature of Skydome with its retractable roof combined with the winningest team in all of baseball, we had it all.
However, all good things come to an end, and it has become quite difficult to get behind a team that fails to clinch the division title and make it to the playoffs season after season. This piece pays homage to the team I once loved. I miss their classic logo of the 80's, but more than that I miss the championship winning Blue Jays even more.
